No, sorry, "Marcus, Phil and Jim"---that is literally not the case. How one newspaper covers the regularity of government bureaucracy will not, ever, "influence the future of the country." Come on! Didn't anyone read Deb Howell's column on Sunday--which conveniently talked about journalistic arrogance? Well, this is journalistic arrogance. Come on down off the high horse--and beef up those subscriptions, that circulation, and the continually falling ads, revenues and profits first, before anyone starts believing that one entity's coverage will "influence the future of the country." Sheesh, guys, give us a break already!
